I am always honored when being asked to photograph another occasion for this family, and I am elated that there will now be double the amount of memories to capture.
With the arrival of baby Henry and the special occasion of his big sister Sofia turning three, I got to do double duty at the Sardo home. I am always honored when being asked to photograph another occasion for this family, and I am elated that there will now be double the amount of memories to capture.

Here is what you need to know about being a photographer: You are ALWAYS a photographer (Even if you have recently become an Aunt).
Everyone please welcome my newest Niece, Evelynn and cheer on her big brother, Gavin, for a job well done. Best part about shoots like this? I get to snuggle the clients afterwards. I met Peter & Susan last year when they were searching for a wedding photographer. Upon meeting them I instantly knew that we were going to have a long standing relationship; and being that I just photographed the newest addition to their family, I am inclined to say I was correct.
Welcome to the world (baby) Peter, you're a very lucky little fella! With the popularity of Pinterest and adoration of Etsy, staged Newborn photos are all the rage. However, I have to admit, there is something incredibly beautiful about the simplicity of a lifestyle session.
Granted, Paige and her parents are pretty much perfect - so that may have had something to do with it as well. A huge thank you to the Augenstein clan for a wonderful afternoon. I absolutely love how this business allows me to shoot through life's timeline with my clients. For instance, just last weekend I got to spend the morning with the (growing) Cowley family. Just a few months ago we were shooting in frigid weather, discussing secret baby names and we wound up here, photographing the world's smallest (but cutest) fireman, Landon Robert.
A huge thank you to Lauren and Mike, again, for trusting me to capture these important moments. Having your own photography business can guarantee you two things:
1.) You more often than not will work 7 days a week 2.) *You will often question whether your friends and family REALLY like you or if they simply keep you around to photograph their milestone moments. Lucky for me I love my job AND can deal with being *used if it means getting to snuggle an adorable child while hanging out with one of my closest friends; as was the case this weekend when the Colton clan made the trek from DC to good ole’ NJ. Everyone meet John Turner Colton: Opponent of sleep, lover of swaddles, and future soccer superstar. When Danielle contacted me and asked me to book a newborn shoot for her soon-to-be little one I was absolutely thrilled, and not just because I would finally meet the elusive Golden Retriever Penny; but because Danielle has a 2 year old daughter that is absolutely adorable and I had no doubt that her sibling would follow suit. I am happy to say that I was correct! Even when Mackenzie wasn’t quite cooperating she had me wrapped around her little finger.
A huge “thank you” to the Schwartz Family for their hospitality and especially to little miss Madelyn for letting me get a few photos of her with her little sister. I have been dreaming of this shoot ever since Heather let me know that she was expecting baby number 2. I am honored to have photographed her older son, Johnny, a number of times and I couldn’t wait to add what I knew would be an adorable new face to the mix.
Thank you to the McKees for a wonderful afternoon. I look forward to photographing many more of your memories! |
