Thank you to Lynn & Mike for a once in a lifetime experience!
As a photographer there is nothing better than an old friend reaching out and asking you to photograph one of the most important days of their life. As an animal lover there is nothing better than hearing that her wedding will be at the Baltimore Zoo (I know!!!) Thank you to Lynn & Mike for a once in a lifetime experience!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I am pretty sure these photos speak for themselves.
Great couple. Great weather. Great occasion. Great results. Thank you to Michelle & Chris for a wonderfully fun shoot! The end of 2016 was an absolute whirlwind. With no less than 2 holiday shoots each weekend and trying to shoot some more fine art images, I've fallen a bit behind on posting.
So without further adieu, here's a little something that everyone loves: Bellies and Babies (errr... a 2 year old, but you get the point - right?) I can't believe it has taken me this long to post about it, but if you follow me on Facebook and Instagram, you already know about it. If you don't, then listen (errr...read) up!
In 2016 I was awarded as a finalist for the Re:Artiste "Show Your World" International Art Competition. Aside from the awesomeness of seeing my name in the "finalist" category, my photograph "Hallway to Hell" was hung as part of an exhibit at Gallery MC, in New York City! ::::Still screams of pure joy, although the exhibit was in October:::: In short: I can now die happily. But until then, I've got more shooting to do! The key(s) to a successful photo shoot? Great weather. Beautiful location. Wonderful parents. And a very excited big sister to-be!
So...Here's the thing: Every time I photograph the Smith Family, I am taken aback by how "easy" it is and how well the shoots go.
No...seriously, let's take a walk down (photo) memory lane... Their Wedding Day: Perfection. I think we took more photos that day than all our weddings combined. Maternity Shoot: "Oh, what's that? You want to throw and adorable and incredibly well behaved dog into the mix? OK! Still perfection." Newborn Shoot: "Surely this lil' Smith, who just happens to be named Lil Smith, is going to be a handful. Wait...she's not crying AND doesn't mind being put in a crocheted dog outfit? Game on!" First Birthday Shoot: "We are on the beach. There are lots of people around. We are trying to get two parents, a dog, and a sugar-high baby to cooperate. Oh....look at that, I have some photographs that could work as Coppertone ads." In short: This family never ceases to amaze me and I am beyond honored that they have chosen me to capture their continued awesomness with my photos. I have said it before, and I will say it again: One of the best things about this business is my ability to reconnect with old friends; and when that old friend happens to be one of the best friends you could ever remember having, well....then it's, just an even bigger perk.
Evan's shoot was filled with bribery puffs, destroyed paper flowers, (probable) zika carrying mosquitoes, and ended with a delicious - albeit hot for July - imaginary soup party. Needless to say: It was pure entertainment, and I wouldn't have had it any other way. A huge thank you to the Fox family for such an enjoyable morning! With the arrival of baby Henry and the special occasion of his big sister Sofia turning three, I got to do double duty at the Sardo home.
I am always honored when being asked to photograph another occasion for this family, and I am elated that there will now be double the amount of memories to capture. Here is what you need to know about being a photographer: You are ALWAYS a photographer (Even if you have recently become an Aunt).
Everyone please welcome my newest Niece, Evelynn and cheer on her big brother, Gavin, for a job well done. Best part about shoots like this? I get to snuggle the clients afterwards. |
