Now that Sardo baby #2 has been born and the name has been shared, I can finally post a handful of photos from our session.
There isn't much to say aside from, welcome Henry Louis Sardo. You are one very lucky little fella. I look forward to being able to photograph some of your most important moment; but I warn you, you have some big shoes to fill, because your sister is a prized client of mine! I have said it before , and I will say it again (and again, and again); but, one of my favorite parts about owning this business are the opportunities it gives me to reconnect with old friends, and to share in their most special moments.
A huge thank you to Catherine & Zach for braving the humidity. These pictures were worth getting bit by a tick for! Sometimes in life, if you are lucky enough, you meet someone and - as cliche as it sounds - you "just click". With my client-turned-friend Angela, the click was most definitely so strong that it was audible. The best part (Aside from my god puppy Hunter)? Is the fact that she not only refers me frequently, but those she refers me too are almost as wonderful as she is; and because I enjoy their company so much, I hope that they too will become lifelong JanetteC Photography clients.
A huge thank you to the Schiavo family for braving the heat this past Saturday. I don't know about you, but I think it was worth it! I have to admit, when you book a shoot with 10 people - there is always a little bit of you that is concerned it could be a disaster. I mean...it is hard enough to get a family of 4 to smile in sync.
The Snook family, though? Well let's just say they put my mind at ease. It was a beautiful afternoon, a lovely location, and a truly pleasant experience. I met Peter & Susan last year when they were searching for a wedding photographer. Upon meeting them I instantly knew that we were going to have a long standing relationship; and being that I just photographed the newest addition to their family, I am inclined to say I was correct.
Welcome to the world (baby) Peter, you're a very lucky little fella! With the popularity of Pinterest and adoration of Etsy, staged Newborn photos are all the rage. However, I have to admit, there is something incredibly beautiful about the simplicity of a lifestyle session.
Granted, Paige and her parents are pretty much perfect - so that may have had something to do with it as well. A huge thank you to the Augenstein clan for a wonderful afternoon. I have had the pleasure of photographing Aidan since he was 2 years old. And trust me when I say it's been a pleasure, I mean it. This little blue eyed, blonde haired fella stole my heart from the moment I met him, and my adoration for him continues to grow wither each passing year. I am beyond honored to not only be able to watch him grow through my lens, but for the relationship that has developed with the entire family.
Here's to many more years of adorable photos ... (and fingers crossed that he continues to wear personalized shirts until he is 21) With the help of technology, I have been able to follow Teri & Hamed's love story from (I think) the beginning; which is ironic, since technology is how they met! Teri & Hamed are a real life "90 Day Fiance" tale, but without all the drama and with an over abundance of love! (Hey, TLC - did you hear that?)
Congratulations, you two! May your married life be as sweet as those instagram cookies and as unexpected as your first dance. This past holiday season a past client messaged me and wanted to know if I offered gift cards. Two of her friends had gotten engaged and while they weren't entirely sold on the idea of an engagement shoot, the "fairy- god client" was. I was so humbled (and inspired) by the idea that I just HAD to say yes. And boy, am I glad that I did, because Brian and Jacqueline were an absolute blast to both photograph and be around.
So: Thank you Jessica for being such a wonderful and thoughtful friend. And to the happy (and ridiculously adorable couple) thank you for being so much fun, we wish you an eternity of happiness and dog snuggles. Location: Garret Mountain, Woodland Park NJ |
