A huge thank you to Lauren and Mike, again, for trusting me to capture these important moments.
I absolutely love how this business allows me to shoot through life's timeline with my clients. For instance, just last weekend I got to spend the morning with the (growing) Cowley family. Just a few months ago we were shooting in frigid weather, discussing secret baby names and we wound up here, photographing the world's smallest (but cutest) fireman, Landon Robert. A huge thank you to Lauren and Mike, again, for trusting me to capture these important moments.

Having your own photography business can guarantee you two things:
1.) You more often than not will work 7 days a week 2.) *You will often question whether your friends and family REALLY like you or if they simply keep you around to photograph their milestone moments. Lucky for me I love my job AND can deal with being *used if it means getting to snuggle an adorable child while hanging out with one of my closest friends; as was the case this weekend when the Colton clan made the trek from DC to good ole’ NJ. Everyone meet John Turner Colton: Opponent of sleep, lover of swaddles, and future soccer superstar. I think one of the best things about being a photographer, is when first time clients book your for additional sessions. I mean...there really is no better compliment than having someone trust you with some of the most important moments of their lives.
So with that being said, I want to extend a HUGE thank you to the Bender family. It was my pleasure to hang out (again) with Michaela and Gabe. Happiest of birthdays to the both of them! For more photos visit Our Facebook Page. Earlier this month I had a short notice request to photograph Merrick's Winter One-derland birthday party. For the past year her father has been her main paparazzi (HA! Papa-Razzi, that's clever); however, for this very special occasion, he wanted to sit back and simply enjoy this very important event in his daughter's life.
I was happy to be able to capture the many moments that were shared that day. A HUGE thank you to the DiFabio family for a wonderful afternoon. This past weekend was jam packed with awesomeness! I had the pleasure of reconnecting with an old high school classmate while I photographed her adorable curly haired cutie, Alexis; and took part in some witty banter with her husband. Met up with a dear friend to help her give her husband the gift that keeps on giving: beautiful boudoir photos (She looked amazing!). And spent the coldest Valentine's Day in recorded history photographing the love that soon-to-be parents, Michael and Lauren have for one another and noticeably, the love they can't wait to bestow upon their little one.
Have I mentioned lately how darn lucky I am? 2015 was an incredibly year for JanetteC Photography. I met wonderful new clients, revisited my regulars, and was lucky enough to make new friends along the way.
However, there is one thing I didn’t do. Can you guess what it is? If you say “Keep up with your blog, like you promised yourself you would do” you would be correct. BUT! I have something better – A Brand New Website & Logo that I am absolutely, positively, undeniably obsessed with! When Danielle contacted me and asked me to book a newborn shoot for her soon-to-be little one I was absolutely thrilled, and not just because I would finally meet the elusive Golden Retriever Penny; but because Danielle has a 2 year old daughter that is absolutely adorable and I had no doubt that her sibling would follow suit. I am happy to say that I was correct! Even when Mackenzie wasn’t quite cooperating she had me wrapped around her little finger.
A huge “thank you” to the Schwartz Family for their hospitality and especially to little miss Madelyn for letting me get a few photos of her with her little sister. I have been dreaming of this shoot ever since Heather let me know that she was expecting baby number 2. I am honored to have photographed her older son, Johnny, a number of times and I couldn’t wait to add what I knew would be an adorable new face to the mix.
Thank you to the McKees for a wonderful afternoon. I look forward to photographing many more of your memories! I will be the first to admit that with social media being king now-a-days, I have been very lax when it comes to keeping up with my *blog; however that is something I am looking to change in 2015. So please come visit, check out photos, comment away, and continue to refer me to your friends; the support I have received from past and current clients is unmatched and for that I will be forever thankful.
Cheers to a happy, healthy, and successful New Year! *Old blog can be found here: http://janettecphotography.blogspot.com/ |
